We recently got married with Luci , we are trying out spots within our area. Sausalito is special to us because we choose to spend a few days there during our wedding celebration at the spinnaker. That will be another review by its self. The Barrel House Tavern. Great views, we chose to sit outside, with amazing views of San Francisco and Richardsons Bay. The service was excellent! The person working our table was attentive, and helpful. I loved my drink! I had the watermelon margarita on the rocks. It did not disappoint, it's a recommended drink on their menu and to me it seemed great! My wife and I went with hot sandwiches. Luci had the wood oven chicken flatbread sandwich. It's a meaty big sandwich with flavor! I had the grilled ribeye steak cheesy French bread sandwich which I loved. Full of flavor and juicy! Luci loved her Parmesan fries so much she asked me to mention it on the review :) Overall this is a great place to visit. It's well kept, clean and pretty good food. I want to go back and rate some of their other dishes, they seem to have a great happy hour as well.

This place is Always crowded! But love the ocean view from the open door The service is quick and super friendly. The foods are delicious and good enough portion for one. I didn't know they charge cheaper if you pay by cash

Came here on 4th of July with the husband. We made reservations on open table and were seated outside on the patio with AMAZING views. Parking was pricy, $25 for holiday parking, not sure if they validate. We walked approximately 3-5 minutes to get to the restaurant. When you get in you have to climb stairs, so not sure if it's ADA compliant. Our server was great. He was friendly and attentive. We had calamari, Korean wings, tuna tacos, and the clam linguine. They were delicious! Small servings but the taste was great. Also the views were stunning. Would like to go back and try their other dishes!

Food, view, atmosphere, service, and drinks were all great! We walked in about 6 o clock on a Sunday, expecting a crowded restaurant. To our surprise, we were given "bar" seating outside, overlooking the water in an instant. In addition to this, service was attentive and often playful but in a respectful way. First dish out was a Lobster Fundido, a special of the day. It was similar to their Artichoke Fundido but with the added snobbiness (and deliciousness) of lobster. Our food was great. I got the Ribeye French Bread Sandwich which was great. I would have like the meet a little bit more medium rare but it was flavored well, nonetheless! My wife got the Linguini Clam Sauce which she loved. The sauce tasted similar to a creamy clam chowder. It was accompanied by cheesy garlic bread. Great plate also. I got the Watermelon Margarita. I will say that this is a specialty, however, I think their were better looking/sounding drinks on the menu. It was refreshing but ultimately just tasted like your basic margarita with watermelon syrup. However, they did mention it is made in house! Definitely check out Barrel House Tavern if you are in Sausalito. I would say it is top 2 restaurants in the downtown!

Came here twice in one day!!!! First came for a light lunch of clams, summer crunch salad, and drinks. The clams were delicious and the garlic bread was to die for! The salad has lots of summer fruits like peaches and plums and was absolutely delicious. The Bloody Mary was classic with a good tomato base, the watermelon margarita was delicious, and the passion fruit mojito was OUT OF THIS WORLd !! The waiter (Maxwell) overheard it was my birthday and made sure to bring out some Strauss ice cream! He was so excited about my birthday celebration and was a very attentive waiter. Sitting outside was gorgeous on a warm sunny day. We had an absolute blast. Later on, we wanted to try their wings and came for their happy hour (which can not be eaten outside on the water front patio). The wings were flavorful and the kölsch was perfectly refreshing. One thing to note is that you seat yourself for the happy hour, so when it's busy it may be hard to find a spot. Overall this will become my go to spot in Sausalito. I ordered salmon special dish and calamari fritti. They both are great, plus beautiful sunset view to the bay bridge.

The service is amazing, with friendly and responsive staff! And if you're lucky to get a seat outside, you'll have an amazing view ! If you're on a budget, ask for a seat at the bar to benefit from happy hour! The ahi tuna tacos were scrumptious!

Wonderful food - cerviche, tuna tacos, flatbread and salad - with some of the best views around on the terrace. Service was excellent. Whenever we are in Sausalito we will book at the Barrel House.
